Testing procedures on our workbench
In our workshop, we only process components that withstand ongoing contact with body heat and skin lipids undamaged. Before a casing is assembled, we verify the dimensional accuracy of the ABS polymer shells using optical gauges. This plastic does not shatter, withstands accidental drops, and its high density prevents disruptive casing resonance at high-frequency peaks.
Material selection for skin contact and signal flow
The choice of raw materials determines whether an earpiece sits comfortably without pressure for hours. We rely on a proven material combination for casings and accessories:
- Medical-grade silicone: Remains permanently flexible, yields slightly to body heat, and prevents skin irritation even on sensitive tissue.
- Stainless steel filter mesh: Features micron-accurate mesh sizing, does not rust when exposed to perspiration, and cleans without leaving residue behind.
- Gold-plated contact pins: Offer minimal contact resistance and reliably resist corrosion from humidity.
Reliability in daily use
Cheap imitations often use PVC containing plasticizers, which hardens and cracks after just a few weeks. Our medical-grade silicone retains its smooth surface for many months. Combined with precision-milled ABS polymer, this creates a sealed system that reliably repels dirt and transmits sound waves without distortion.
